Proprioception

The body's Proprioception is controlled by receptors (in skin, muscles, and joints) that connect with the brain through the nervous system. This system ensures that, even without seeing, a person knows what his or her body is doing. Children who are clumsy, uncoordinated, and sensory seeking are often experiencing some degree of proprioceptive challenges. Products in this section have been chosen for their ability to help with the concept of body awareness.
